The paper presents the Strategic Diamond, which is developed by Lead To Change to enhance the innovative capacity of universities and research institutes. It gives guidance on how to make a serious and profound selection on the strategic positioning and provides a benchmark on the innovation outcomes. The Strategic Diamond helps universities to focus their resources and manage their portfolio of innovative products accordingly. The method is inspired by theory but grounded on case-based…
The paper presents the Strategic Diamond, which is developed by Lead To Change to enhance the innovative capacity of universities and research institutes. It gives guidance on how to make a serious and profound selection on the strategic positioning and provides a benchmark on the innovation outcomes. The Strategic Diamond helps universities to focus their resources and manage their portfolio of innovative products accordingly. The method is inspired by theory but grounded on case-based experience from projects with several universities in Latin America. The approach consists of a set of structured, guided, high value workshops around six vectors of change: talent, learning model, management model, ecosystem, valorization and research.

📊 Strong Economic Growth in the Life Sciences and Healthcare Sector The BioRegion of Catalonia continues its upward trajectory with robust macroeconomic indicators in 2023: 💶 Total sector turnover reached nearly €44.8 billion, a 6% increase year-over-year. This includes revenues from companies and healthcare service providers. Employment surged, with 17,500 new jobs created — pushing the total workforce in the sector to almost 75,400 employees, or 7.3% of all jobs in Catalonia. 📈 The sector has maintained a CAGR of 4.4%, reflecting consistent, long-term growth. 📍 Barcelona Province remains the epicenter, home to 94% of all companies and entities in the Catalan life sciences and health ecosystem. These numbers highlight the sector's strategic importance in driving economic and social impact across the region.
